Great Lakes Brewing Company Announces Mark King as Chief Executive Officer

Seasoned beverage industry leader brings over 30 years of experience

October 10, 2019 – Cleveland, OH – Great Lakes Brewing Co. (GLBC), an employee-owned top 20 U.S. craft brewery, announces the appointment of Mark King as Chief Executive Officer. King will oversee day-to-day operations and drive GLBC’s growth and development strategy.

King joins GLBC’s existing leadership team including Co-Owners and founders Patrick and Daniel Conway. Together the team will work to build upon the brewery’s 31 years of success and strategic growth, with respect to GLBC’s strong company culture and triple bottom line philosophy, which places value on people, planet, and profit.

King brings over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, strategy, and leadership from some of the most recognizable brands in the industry. He spent 20 years at Anheuser-Busch InBev, last serving as the Vice President of the Central Division. He then joined Beam Global as VP West for three years, and later served as National Sales Director for The Gambrinus Company until 2011. In 2012, King founded the wildly successful Austin Eastciders, which in recent years has risen to become one of the nation’s leading cider brands.
