BUFFALO, NY – The Flying Bison Brewing Company is excited to announce new packaging for their entire line of beers including two brand new packages, Rusty Chain, a Vienna Style beer, and a variety 12 pack called Herd of Bison featuring Buffalo Lager, Rusty Chain and Aviator Red. The Brewery has also made several upgrades in order to meet the demand for their award winning beers.
Starting off in 2000 as a 20?barrel brewery, Flying Bison Brewing Company has seen a lot of changes in the past 11 years. There have been some successes and some failures during which the city of Buffalo has been an incredible supporter. Because of this support, Flying Bison will have a bright future. Tim Herzog, Founder and General Manager of Flying Bison, believes this is a testament to the city of Buffalo’s enthusiasm for great local beer.
“It is really something special to have a dream and see it come true,” said Tim. “When someone picks up a Flying Bison Beer, they’re tasting a little piece of Buffalo’s local flavor.”
In conjunction with Flynn and Friends, Flying Bison created a whole new look intended to create a family feel for the brands and chose to include something special about Buffalo in each beer by highlighting a little piece of Buffalo using the phrase “local flavor.” From a city rich in brewing history, to a bicycling “movement”, to roots in aviation, Tim describes each beer and it’s attachment to Buffalo, drawing you in for your first sip.
In addition to this new packaging change and a plan for several new beers, significant upgrades have been made to increase brewing capabilities in the past six months. An additional 2,500 square feet has been rented and three additional storage tanks have been added increasing Flying Bison’s capacity by 2,500 barrels with the hopes of upgrading the packaging operations in the near future.
“The changes we’ve made and will continue to make are going to allow us to keep up with the demand for quality beer made in Buffalo,” said Tim. “Our beer will be much more accessible to Buffalo both in bars and at retail stores to enjoy at home. Nothing could be more exciting to me!”
The new packaging including Buffalo Lager, Rusty Chain and Aviator Red 6 packs and Herd of Bison variety 12 packs will start to be seen on shelves this month. Bisonfest, Flying Bison’s fall seasonal, will be shipping soon and three other seasonals will be available throughout the year along with some other draft exclusive seasonals.
