Drizly Expands Service to Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Calif. – Drizly, the world’s first and largest alcohol e-commerce marketplace, became available in Vancouver today. A pioneer and the established leader in alcohol e-commerce, Drizly works with local retailers, including seven Liquor Depot locations in Vancouver, to bring adults of legal drinking age wide selection, full price transparency and delivery in under 60 minutes through Drizly.com and the Drizly app (App Store and Google Play). Partner retailers make the delivery and have access to Drizly’s proprietary ID verification technology that enables delivery personnel to scan and verify IDs, with accuracy that goes well beyond a manual review.

“Vancouver has been thirsting for everything that Drizly facilitates, not least online access to our vast inventory, an intuitive shopping experience and the convenience of delivery in under an hour. It’s a win-win in every sense of the term” said Fran Coons, Vice President of Operations at Alcanna.

Liquor Depot is partnering with Drizly to launch on-demand delivery at the following locations: Liquor Depot Cambie, Liquor Depot Point Grey, Liquor Barn Burnaby, Liquor Depot Richmond Ltd., Liquor Depot Surrey, Liquor Depot Coquitlam, and Liquor Barn Abbotsford. Drizly’s partnership with Liquor Depot brings the service to British Columbia for the first time, after serving consumers in parts of Alberta for over two years.

“Expanding Drizly’s availability throughout Canada, and specifically Vancouver, has been on our radar since seeing the strong response to our platform in Edmonton, our first Canadian market, back in 2016,” said Justin Robinson, SVP of New Business & Co-Founder at Drizly. “We’re eager for Vancouver to tap the vast selection and convenient delivery that Drizly and Liquor Depot together now bring.”

Drizly provides visibility into inventories from local retailers in each market, offering customers a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits, at transparent and competitive prices. In addition to a wide variety of adult beverages, Liquor Depot’s range of popular soft drinks, juices, ice and other mixers, will also be available on the Drizly platform, as to meet all beverage needs. Customers can arrange fast on-demand, scheduled delivery or in-store pickup through Drizly. The Drizly mobile app and website offer deep wells of information, packed with cocktail recipes, pro tips and popular adult beverage trends.
