San Carlos, Calif. — Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company will be hosting the 2015 West Coast Craft Can Invitational at their new 10,000 square foot event center and fans of craft beer in a can have a lot to look forward to.

As part of San Francisco Beer Week, the event will showcase offerings from 16 California breweries that sell their products in cans.

In addition to the many outstanding styles of craft beer available at the festival, Devil’s Canyon has announced that it will debut a new beer – Chaco Stout.

Brewed with smoked red chili for a mild, spicy heat and TCHO™ chocolate for a sweet bitterness, Chaco Stout will be served from a one-time run of specially labelled cans, only available at the festival. Afterwards, the precious few kegs remaining in their inventory will be served on tap at the brewery’s weekly “Beer Garden Friday” and be available in limited quantities to their distributors.

“Descendants of the Ancestral Puebloans considered Chaco to be a special gathering place for people of many clans to come together and share their traditions, ceremonies and knowledge. Having grown up in New Mexico before calling California home, I always found the stories, legends and philosophies surrounding the area and its people to be both fascinating and inspiring.” stated Chris Garrett, Owner. “Chaco Stout is our homage to a group of ingenious and mysterious people that continue to spark our imagination to this day.”

The 2015 West Coast Craft Can Invitational takes place Saturday, February 7th from 2-5pm. Hosted in association with The Can Van, the festival is a Benefit for Pink Boots Society and the Peninsula Sunrise Rotary Club.
