CHELSEA, Mass. — Night Shift Distributing is excited to announce that two breweries from Illinois — Solemn Oath Brewery and DESTIHL Brewery — will be joining our distribution portfolio starting in December.
“We are thrilled to add two more Illinois-based craft brewers to our fast growing portfolio,” says Jeff Glennon, Chief Operating Officer for NSD. “Solemn Oath and DESTIHL make fantastic, innovative beers, have amazing branding, and are great people to work with. We can’t wait to introduce their beers to MA beer lovers. Get thirsty!”
Solemn Oath Brewery makes craft beer in Naperville, Illinois. They are driven by their passion for West Coast, Belgian, and barrel-aged beers. On Thursday, December 7th we will be welcoming the Solemn Oath crew with a tap takeover at Brewer’s Fork in Charlestown, Massachusetts. Seven of the brewery’s beers will be available, including Dibs – a brand new imperial stout brewed in collaboration with Night Shift Brewing from Everett, Massachusetts. This takeover will be followed by a weekend of tastings at beer shops and package stores around Eastern and Central Massachusetts. A full schedule of tastings can be found on the Night Shift Distributing website, and more info about Solemn Oath’s launch evening will be shared on Facebook.
“It is a unique opportunity to have the chance to partner with a brewer-born distribution company,” says John Barley, president of Solemn Oath Brewery. “Massachusetts is one of the most innovative, competitive, and exciting beer markets in the country. We’re excited to work alongside a team of like-minded people in Night Shift Distributing to get our fresh beers into people’s hands.”
Thursday, December 14th through Saturday, December 16th will be a weekend of tastings with DESTIHL Brewery. DESTIHL is an independent production brewery that was established in 2013 in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, after founding its brewpub business in 2007, to brew beyond the confines of typical beers. The DESTIHL lineup includes a variety of hoppy offerings, its innovative canned Wild Sour Series and bottled Saint Dekkera Reserve Sours, plus traditional German, Belgian and other beers. The entire tasting schedule for the weekend of the 14th is also available on the Night Shift Distributing website, and we’ll be hosting another series of events with DESTIHL in January, so keep your eyes peeled for details about that.
“Massachusetts is a great market for craft beer, and we are very excited to have DESTIHL beers available to consumers there,” says Neil Reinhardt, Director of Sales. “Our approach to new markets has been to choose the best partner possible, and we couldn’t ask for a better one than Night Shift Distributing. Starting as a well-respected local brewer also gives them a unique perspective and insights that will be invaluable.”

About Solemn Oath Brewery
Sometimes at Solemn Oath we listen to rock and sometimes we listen to rap. On occasion you might hear some jazz, pop, or a splash of early punk. The important thing to realize is that we’re always lively. Always accomplishing something. Always planning for what we hope will not be your favorite new thing, or the brewery’s favorite new thing, but our favorite thing together. Never complacent and always adapting. Changing the world, probably.
