CraftFund Named Associate Sponsor of GABF

CraftFund LLC, the equity crowdfunding platform for craft beer and food, is excited to announce its status as an Associate Sponsor of the 2013 Great American Beer Festival, a premier craft beer event held annually in Denver.

This year’s event will take place October 10-12 and allow some 49,000 attendees to sample beers from approximately 600 U.S. breweries.

CraftFund founder, David Dupee, views GABF as an opportunity to raise greater awareness in the craft beer community about equity crowdfunding. Equity crowdfunding–the process of raising capital by selling shares online to broad group of people–is becoming more of a reality in the U.S. as regulations on the federal and state levels are changing to provide the general public with an opportunity to invest in small businesses they are passionate about.

“GABF is the ideal venue for us to tell our story about an authentic and disruptive new source of capital,” says Dupee. “Craft beer has always promoted engagement and participation, and these new laws will soon provide craft enthusiasts with the ultimate form of engagement: ownership experiences.”

CraftFund will have an exhibit space at the festival for the purpose of interacting with craft enthusiasts, informing them of new investment opportunities, and registering those interested in participating as future investors on the site once equity crowdfunding regulations are in place.

CraftFund, LLC is a niche equity crowdfunding platform focused exclusively on the craft beer and food industries. Crowdfunding represents an alternative and grassroots source of capital that is more consistent with a brewery’s brand and mission. CraftFund is in the process of building a platform that will allow investors to buy shares in breweries online once securities regulations are finalized.
