Burial Beer Co. to Open New Taproom in Raleigh

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Burial Beer Co. is excited to announce the opening of a new location attached to the Transfer Co. Food Hall in Raleigh, NC.

This outpost will allow Burial Beer Co. to share their taproom-only offerings with a larger crowd east, where imbibers currently have to travel a 9 hour round trip to pick up beer. This art-filled catacomb will open in its own storefront connected to the Transfer Co. Food Hall, a beautifully-restored century-old coachhouse in Raleigh’s expanding downtown. “The opportunity gave us a chance to curate our commitment to reviving dead and decayed structures in Asheville, on the east side of the state,” states co-owner, Doug Reiser.

People of Raleigh can expect a one of a kind Burial experience with plans to highlight the work of illustrator, David Paul Seymour, in an interior mural. Walking into the space will transport visitors into the mind of the artist and the intricate concept behind Burial’s brand.

“Our space in Asheville really connects people to our vision and brand. The new location will give people in the Eastern part of NC the chance to make that connection as well,” said Tim Gormley, co-owner and Head Brewer.

Transfer Co. Food Hall is a multi-use building with a menagerie of talented tenants including Videri Chocolate Factory, Locals Seafood, Benchwarmers Bagels, Che Empanadas, Captain Cookie and The Milkman, Dank Burrito, Falafel & Co., Sushinara and Sweet Peas Urban Gardens.

“We are thrilled to be one of many businesses in this location. This is a diverse group ranging from bakers to restauranteurs and coffee roasters. Opening another location in Raleigh, with other passionate and craft focused people is very inspirational,” said co-owner Jess Reiser.

This location is slated to open in late 2018/early 2019 and will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 2-9PM and Saturdays from 12-6PM. Continue to check our website and social media for updates on opening!

About Burial Beer Co.

Founded in June 2013, Burial Beer Co. crafts Belgian-inspired ales, and bold American styles with a dedication to creativity, tradition, modernization, and preservation. Residing in and revitalizing the South Slope District of Asheville, NC, the brewery began its life as a one-barrel system that grew to a ten-barrel in just over a year. Fall 2016 brought a new wave of expansion and revitalization as Burial Beer Co. expanded again to a second location, the “Forestry Camp.” This location is home to a twenty-barrel production brewery and soon to be locally purveyed restaurant and two-story craft beer bar in South Asheville. The Brewery currently distributes to North Carolina, Georgia, and New York.
