The Brewers Association has officially announced its 2017 Board of Directors.

In a press release, the trade organization — which represents the interests of small and independent craft brewers — said Allagash Brewing founder Rob Tod had recently begun his second term as board chair.

“In the face of many exciting opportunities and challenges, this is a dynamic time to be a small and independent brewer,” Tod said in a press release. “It is an honor to serve and speak for this growing community of innovators who push the envelope when it comes to brewing. I look forward to working alongside many of my admired craft brewing colleagues to continue making this a great industry, both for those who work in it and the beer lovers who get to enjoy it.”

Tod is joined on the executive committee by Left Hand Brewing co-founder Eric Wallace (vice chair), Standing Stone Brewing Co. brewmaster Larry Chase (secretary/treasurer), Brooklyn Brewery founder Steve Hindy and BA president and CEO Bob Pease.

In November, the BA had announced the election of Tod and four other industry professionals (listed below) to the organization’s board of directors for three-year terms starting this month.

  • John Mallett, Bell’s Brewery director of operations
  • Eric Wallace, Left Hand Brewing co-founder
  • Sean Casey, Church Brew Works president
  • Cyrena Nouzille, Ladyface Ale Companie general manager

Those five will “govern the activities of the professional division of the BA and other divisions, including the American Homebrewers association, Brewers Publications and events,” according to the BA’s website.

Also notable: Boston Beer Company founder Jim Koch has been named an at-large board member.
