BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Braven Brewing Company, a craft brewery based in Brooklyn, NY, recently signed an agreement with DOPS, Inc. to distribute Braven’s beers throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Delaware. This marks Braven’s first distribution agreement outside of the state of New York.
In the coming weeks, DOPS will distribute Braven’s flagship, seasonal, and limited edition beers in DC, followed shortly by Maryland and Delaware. In addition to offering high quality craft beers like Bushwick Pilsner and Skyliner IPA, Braven believes its commitment to supporting artists, musicians, and creatives will resonate with beer drinkers throughout the region.
Having lived in D.C. for a combined 14 years, Co-Founders Marshall S. Thompson and Eric Feldman have many ties to the District. Marshall graduated from American University and was the owner/operator of the Adams Morgan clothing store, The District Line, and Eric graduated from Georgetown Law after relocating to DC after college. “Marshall and I really bonded as friends when we’d spend several nights a week going to concerts at venues like the Black Cat, DC9, and the 9:30 Club,” reminisced Eric. “The bars around 14th and U were practically second homes to us and our friends. It would be an incredible honor to serve our beers at some of our favorite hangouts in the world.”

“One of my friends from American worked for DOPS a few years back,” added Marshall. “He said Braven would be a great fit there and was excited to make an introduction. When we learned DOPS is a family-owned and operated distributor, we knew our independent values and standard of quality aligned with theirs. In a way it feels like we’re coming home.”
