Bell's Brewery LogoKalamazoo, MI – Bell’s Brewery, Inc. and the Kalamazoo Wings invite the southwest Michigan community to the first ever Bell’s Brewery Blue Ice Weekend featuring Winter White Ale on Dec. 20th and 21st at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Wings will take on the Toledo Walleye both nights on ice dyed blue in celebration of Bell’s seasonal beer, Winter White Ale.

“We are very pleased to partner with an outstanding local company like Bell’s,” said Wings Stadium General Manager Jim Burlew.

“The K-Wings have a rich history with colored ice games and Bell’s is furthering that legacy with our first ever Blue Ice event,” he said.

Bell’s reinBEER games will entertain the crowd during intermission and special Winter White pouring stations will be located around the stadium with Bell’s representatives available to chat with fans and handout free swag both Friday and Saturday night.

Former Detroit Red Wing Darren McCarty will also attend Friday night’s game and sign autographs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (one autograph per person please).

“It’s going to be a fun, exciting family weekend —plenty for everyone. Winter White and the K-Wings are a perfect pairing” said Laura Bell, Bell’s Vice President.

The K-Wings are also offering a special ticket package in honor of McCarty’s visit.

The McCarty Pack ($75) will give fans two tickets to the December 20th game, an autographed copy of McCarty’s new book “My Last Fight” (available beginning December 1st) and one parking pass.

Bell’s Winter White Ale takes its cues from Belgian-style white ales and offers a lighter and abundantly flavorful alternative to the more traditional heavy winter warmers available this time of year. Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, this blend of barley and wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices. Deliberately brewed to retain a cloudy appearance, Winter White Ale is a beer for embracing winter.

Bell’s Brewery, Inc. began in 1985 with a quest for better beer and a 15 gallon soup kettle. Since then, we’ve grown into a regional craft brewery that employs more than 200 people over an 19 state area, in addition to Puerto Rico and Washington DC. The dedication to brewing flavorful, unfiltered, quality craft beers that started in 1985 is still with us today. We currently brew over 20 beers for distribution as well as many other small batch beers that are served at our pub in Kalamazoo, the Eccentric Cafe. Our ongoing goal is to brew thoughtfully, creatively and artistically. We strive to bring an authentic and pleasant experience to all of our customers through our unique ales and beers.
