Beachwood Brewing Releases Tovarish Russian Imperial Espresso Stout

Long Beach, CA—December 2nd, 2013— Just in time to ring in 2014, Beachwood Brewing is set to release its last seasonal beer of the year —Tovarish Russian Imperial Espresso Stout—on December 27th, 2013.

Tovarish is a bold Russian imperial stout brewed with a base of British Maris Otter barley, heaping amounts of roasted barley, and specialty malts. “Tovarish is a remarkably rich and complex beer,” says Brewmaster & Co-owner Julian Shrago. It is finished with a touch of black-strap molasses along with a custom roasted coffee blend by Portola Coffee Lab in Costa Mesa, CA. “Savor the layers of roast, coffee, and dark fruits with every sip,” continues Shrago.

“We are excited to be releasing Tovarish again, it was the first beer we bottled and it’s the perfect brew for this time of year,” says Beachwood’s Co-owner Gabriel Gordon. Beachwood will be celebrating the release of Tovarish with a classic Russian fete, borscht and all. The December 27th dinner will include a fine selection of Russian inspired dishes and desserts. So buy a bottle, savor a glass and enjoy the jubilant festivities!

Tovarish will be sold in 22 oz. bottles at finer craft beer retailers across Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties. The brew will also be available on draft at both Beachwood BBQ locations.
