Blakes Hard Cider launches its winter Limited Series cider, Snap Dragon, in 6 pack bottles for the first time this week.

The Midwest’s most visited Orchard and Cider Mill turned hard cider company, is expanding its footprint yet again. Blake’s Hard Cider Co., located on an 800-acre farm an hour north of Detroit, has announced the launch of its 13th state – Alabama.

While IPA’s, pilsners, and sours are trending in the craft beer industry, the Blake family wants to go after a different market segment.

Armada, Michigan’s Blake’s Hard Cider Company is wrapping up its biggest project yet, an expansion that will double capacity at its production facility located on its 70 year old working farm.

One of the fastest growing craft cideries in the country continues to expand its reach as Blake’s Hard Cider will officially be released into Pennsylvania over the next 30 days.

Although Blake’s Farms in Armada has been a major player in the apple business since 1946, its offspring, Blake’s Hard Cider, wasn’t launched until 2013. Three years later the quirky maker of “Flannel Mouth,” “Beard Bender,” “El Chapo” and a dozen other popular hard cider flavors has grown up fast, zooming to national recognition as one of the premier hard cider brands in the country.

Archimedes, next up in the seasonal category from Blake’s, is made with fresh-pressed Michigan apples from Blake Farms, Elderberry, and Vanilla, a combination that’s sure to knock the socks off consumers who loved the previous three new releases by Blake’s Hard Cider this year: Black Phillip, Tonic, and Aurora.
