Tallgrass Brewing Company was founded in Manhattan, Kansas, in 2007 by Jeff Gill and his wife Tricia, and currently distributes in 13 states. With its core line of brands including the Original Pub Ale, 8-Bit Pale Ale, 16-Bit Double Pale Ale, Buffalo Sweat Oatmeal Cream Stout and Ethos IPA as well as several seasonal releases, Tallgrass expanded its operations into a 60,000-square-foot brewery in 2015.
