Celebrating 25 years of loud, fast, left-coast punk rawk, MXPX and Silver City Brewery, both from Bremerton, Washington, have joined forces to commemorate the band’s anniversary milestone with an exclusive, signature beer.
Ever since it debuted back in 2000, Fat Scotch Ale has been a favorite among Silver City Brewery’s devoted fanbase. Scotch Ale, an uncommon style in the Pacific Northwest, gets its signature smokey character from the use of peated malt.
The 2017 release of Fat Woody Scotch Ale has finally arrived! Available for an exceedingly limited time on draft and in 22oz bottles, Fat Woody is a variant of Silver City Brewery’s perennial fan-favorite, Fat Scotch Ale
A long-gestating project, and one that we’re immensely proud to reveal, Tropic Haze India Pale Ale is finally ready to take its place in Silver City Brewery’s flagship lineup of ales, joining distinguished favorites such as Ridgetop Red Ale and Nice Day IPA.
Due to ever increasing demand and partnership with Odom Distributing, Silver City Brewery is excited to announce expanded distribution into Northern Idaho.
Silver City Brewery Announces the Return of their Valentines Series, to be Released at the Taproom on Thursday, February 2nd.
2016, the twentieth year of Silver City Brewery, has been far & away the busiest and most action-packed experience in company history. We’ve seen the revival of classic recipes such as Macfarlane’s Scotch Ale and Copper Mountain Maibock, as well as brand-new additions to our solid frickin’ lineup of year-round and seasonal beers including Nice Day IPA and Sesh Appeal Classic Lager.
Over the past year, Silver City Brewery has released more sour beers than any year prior. Charming Disarmer, a Peach-infused delicacy; Foxy Lady, a Flanders-style red ale; and Wily Temptress, one pucker-punch of blackberry deliciousness. However, none of these would have come to fruition if it hadn’t been Le Fat- the original Silver City sour beer.
It’s no secret that German-style lagers are favored styles around Silver City Brewery. There’s no greater homage to the tradition than Oktoberfest Lager. A light butterscotch-colored liquid that pours with white, frothy suds, Oktoberfest Lager instantly explodes with spiced aromas not unlike cinnamon and nutmeg, entirely symptomatic of the German Hersbrucker hops.
Behold, the Giant. A monolithic masterpiece of bombastic flavor, domineering the senses with its intense, roasty, caramelization and fiery, fruity spiciness imparted by its specialized fermentation. Run from the shadows, not from the Giant.
The first half of 2016 is drawing to a close. The 20th Anniversary Series of Silver City brews has already been one supreme parade of excellence… but the most excellent may still yet be to come. Will it be unveiled today?
Inspired by one of Silver City Brewmaster Don Spencer’s many excursions to Germany to study the art of lager crafting, Ziggy Zoggy is our interpretation of a Zwickelbier, a type of young lager. Liquid Sunshine is a full-flavored interpretation of a Trappist Monk’s dream beer. Golden-yellow in color, it shines with layers of candied sugar and bready malts and finishes dry with subtle fruit and Belgian yeast notes
2015 was a landmark year for Silver City Brewery. Beginning with a top-to-bottom branding and packaging overhaul, the year saw the addition of a new, state-of-the-art brewing system; being selected to brew the official beer of the 7th Annual Seattle Beer Week; and the full-time expansion into 12oz. can packaging. These milestones resulted in 12,500 barrels of beer brewed, a 25 percent increase over 2014.
