What An Idea! Come take the tour of the Minhas Craft Brewery - see the second oldest brewery in America in the beautiful Green County. The Brewery in Monroe has been owned over the last 173 years by some of the prominent citizens of the area. They were 1st and 2nd generation immigrants, tracking their origins from Switzerland, France, Britain, Germany and Denmark. See how the finest beer are made, taste our products and do shopping in our Gift Shop, including our beers and old fashioned sodas.
Upon your arrival at Minhas Tour and Tasting Centers, a friendly tour guide will greet you and give you one of our famous 60-90 minutes tours. Sit back and relax, as the history of brewing will present itself in its full glory, including knowledgeable insights about the history of the town and the facility with a video and animations of how beers are made.
Don't forget about everyone's favorite part...the sampling at the end of the tour. The tour is not complete unit you visit the gift shop and while you are at the brewery be sure to allow time to review the Herb & Helen Haydock Beer Memorabilia Museum - the largest of its kind in America.
Tours for groups of 12 or less, no reservation in necessary. Larger groups are welcome. Please call ahead so we can have adequate staff on hand to ensure you have a great visit. Cost is $12/person, and you get a "THANK YOU" Pack to take home with samples of our fine products - total worth more than $12 in value in itself. Tours are offered 7 days a week.

Production at 25 of the top 50 Brewers Association-defined craft breweries didn’t grow last year, according new data released today by the trade organization.
Another craft-focused contract brewing operation has entered the fray. Great Central Brewing Company (GCBC) broke ground on a new 32,000 sq. ft. contract brewing facility in Chicago last week. Scheduled for a summer 2016 opening, the brewery joins a growing list of craft-minded contract facilities established to help other small producers scale up, instead of focusing on their own in-house labels.
