- Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. was founded by father and son team, Jim and Jaime Dietenhofer, in 2010. With a passion for craft beer, they set out to pay homage to the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with handcrafted beer and hand-drawn artwork depicting the local landscape on their labels. There are currently five taprooms along California’s Central Coast and one taproom set to open in Westlake Village late summer 2015. Coronado Brewing Company announced Thursday the promotion of Brandon Richards to CEO as Ron Chapman transitions into the role of chairman of the board. Meanwhile, Cambria Griffith will join California-based Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. as director of marketing starting January 15.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company likes to have a good time and it shows with two new upcoming beer releases. In addition to producing their iconic, Santa Ynez Valley-inspired beers, the team at FigMtnBrew has announced the debut of a brand new line-up packaged in 12-ounce cans.
Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. is out and, not surprisingly, several craft breweries made the cut. Nine craft breweries appeared on this year’s list, which is ranked according to percentage revenue growth over a four-year period.
Local ice cream purveyor, McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams, recently launched a new flavor aimed at adults using beer from Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company.
Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. recently brought home three Gold medals at the 2015 Meiningers International Craft Beer Awards in Germany for their Lizard’s Mouth Imperial India Pale Ale, Stagecoach Stout and 4th Anniversary Ale.
Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. has self-distributed its beer since they opened in November 2010. It wasn’t until October 2014 that they decided to entirely outsource their distribution.
Only four years ago Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company opened up their brewery and first taproom in Buellton, California. Since then, the company has experienced fast growth with two more taprooms opening in Santa Barbara and Los Olivos.
Figueroa Mountain Brewing, one of California’s faster-growing, but relatively unknown, craft breweries, has announced a slew of expansion plans that include a new international presence, adding three new taprooms and turning over distribution rights to a local beer wholesaler. The company plans to start contract brewing in Germany within six months while it searches for a location to build its own facility in the Bavarian region of the country.
