Blake’s Hard Cider Releases Rum-Soaked Raisin Cider

ARMADA, Mich. – The largest hard cider company in the Midwest launches its winter Limited Series cider, Snap Dragon, in 6 pack bottles for the first time this week. After dominating the craft cider category in cans for 3 years, Blake’s Hard Cider looks to give its consumers another option for its more inimitable products.

Snap Dragon first hit the market back in 2015 in a 22oz bomber option and immediately made a strong impression on cider connoisseurs with its complex profile as a semi-sweet made with rum-soaked Michigan grapes. A balanced cider with an aroma of honey and floral notes, is named after a popular game played in the 1600’s. Brandy soaked raisins were lit on fire and passed around for players to pop into their mouths, often leaving participants to make the face of dragon while handling the lit, dried fruit.

The high end liquid comes in at 6.9% ABV and is available in 13 states starting December 1st. With support from Meijer, Kroger, Giant Eagle, Harris Teeter, and Seven-Eleven, one of the fastest growing craft hard cider companies in the United States, according to Neilsen Data, continues to release innovative products while staying true to their farm to bottle approach. “We’re a third-generation family owned and operated farm in a small town an hour outside of Detroit, that’s who we are and our products tell that story” says owner and founder, Andrew Blake. “Our Limited Series is a great example of our company’s mentality really, it’s a quality liquid that wasn’t rushed to just get something out in the market, it’s truly a crafted hard cider that anyone will enjoy”.

Snap Dragon can be found through out the Midwest, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Alabama, on draft and in package beginning December 1st. Blake’s Hard Cider has an active cider finder to help customers locate it’s products by zip code at www.blakeshardcider.com/cider-finder.
