ATHENS, Ga. – Nearly two years after a team of local activists recruited a small group of employees to form a union, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has certified Creature Comforts employees' October 2023 vote against unionization. In addition to upholding the employees’ wishes, the NLRB Regional Director also dismissed all five unfair labor practice charges filed against Creature Comforts by the Brewing Union of Georgia, confirming the fairness of the election.
“We’re relieved to have our good name cleared with this decision,” said Creature Comforts co-founder and CEO Adam Beauchamp. “It was painful to face malicious and unfounded accusations, and we are proud that the facts have shown these claims to have no basis at Creature Comforts. Our team’s decision to uphold the company’s culture and support employees’ rights to advocate for themselves is a testament to their integrity and commitment. With this chapter behind us, we are excited to refocus on our mission and continue building the great, growing company we’ve always aspired to be.”
