Nine Pin Cider Releases Earl Grey Cider in Cans

ALBANY, N.Y. — Nine Pin Cider Works, New York’s first farm cidery, has announced the release of a new cider in its specialty can series: Earl Grey, the latest collaboration with Guilderland, N.Y.-based Short and Stout Tea Co.

Earl Grey is bright and floral. Its mango-like notes will take the cider enthusiast on a tropical getaway, despite the frigid temperatures outdoors.

“Some of us may not recognize that the clouds and snow are part of what makes Upstate New York great,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and cidermaker. “Complaining about winter is a waste of time. Instead, when it gets cold and cloudy, we recommend you crack open a can of Nine Pin Earl Grey Cider, and embrace the grey.”

Earl Grey is crafted with 100 percent New York apples, cold infused with earl grey tea, and aged on lemon peel. The floral nature of the beverage is reminiscent of a fine spring day. Earl Grey Cider is an ideal companion for any winter adventure.

“At the Tea Lounge, we push the boundaries of ways to enjoy tea. We are happy to work with Nine Pin so people can further enjoy this versatile ingredient,” said Matt Zacharewicz, co-owner, Short and Stout Tea Co.

Earl Grey 12 oz. cans will be available at bars, restaurants, and retailers proudly carrying Nine Pin products, in addition to Nine Pin’s tasting room in Albany.
