Drinktec 2017 Expects 70,000 Visitors

Over 1,700 exhibitors from 80 countries will be showcasing their wares at Drinktec, the world’s largest beverage trade show, taking place this week in Messe Munchen, Germany.

An estimated 70,000 visitors from 183 countries are expected to walk 150,000 square meters of the show floor, and more than 40,000 beverage alcohol professionals will be in attendance.

The event, held every four years, kicked off today and will run until September 15.

A variety of exhibitors from the beer industry have joined the show, including the Brewers Association, which will pour 77 different U.S. craft beers in conjunction with the Hop Growers of America.

“The Brewers Association, in partnership with the Hop Growers of America, is excited to share the American craft beer revolution with a global audience of brewers, retailers and industry representatives at Drinktec,” Bob Pease, the CEO of the BA said via a press release. “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our booth to explore the American craft beer scene.”

A few of the other notable beer industry exhibitors include BrauKon, Cask Brewing Systems, GEA Group, Pentair, Rolec and Yakima Chief – Hopunion, among many others.
