Diamond Knot’s Ho!Ho! Winter Ale Returns

MUKILTEO, WA — It’s that time of year again, when you find yourself looking for something to warm you up and love you. Nothing better than our great Ho! for that. The Diamond Knot Ho!Ho! Winter Ale, that is. Not only does this beer have its own faithful following, it’s our brewmaster’s all-time favorite Diamond Knot beer.

As a fledgling homebrewer, Pat Ringe’s favorite thing was to brew giant, spiced holiday ales that were almost always met with great appreciation. So Ho!Ho! became his baby. He nurtured the recipe, raised it and made others love it. There aren’t any spices in this one, just malt, yeast, hops and water. And trust us, this beer will love you back.

This beer kind of defies being stuffed conveniently into an recognized beer category: it’s big, dark, malty, hoppy and will seriously warm your cockles! Enjoy it while it’s around: October throughJanuary 1. You think waiting for next Christmas is tough. Waiting another year for Ho!Ho! is even worse.=

The nitty-gritty:

  • O.G.: 17 ┬░ Plato; 1.068
  • IBUs: 40ÔÇ¿ABV: 8.5%
  • MALTS: 2-row Pale, Vienna, Wheat, Weyermann CaraRed
  • HOPS: Chinook, Galena, Cascade, Simcoe
