Bell’s to Expand Distribution to Mississippi

Bell’s Brewery today announced plans to expand distribution to Mississippi. The Michigan-based craft brewery has signed agreements with five local wholesalers for coverage throughout the state.

Capital City Beverages, Clark Beverage Group, F.E.B. Distributing, Stokes Distributing Company, and Magnolia Beverage Company will distribute Bell’s beers beginning later this month.

Mississippi marks the 25th state Bell’s products are sold and the company is on pace to be distributed in at least 30 states by the end of the year.

Bell’s said it plans to enter six new states in 2016: it recently announced plans to expand into Arkansas and shipments are slated to begin there in April. In December, the company announced launches in Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana, and last month the brewery added Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota to its footprint.

Beer will begin shipping in late March.

Bell’s announced its intent to distribute to Mississippi, along with Arkansas and Louisiana this past December. Bell’s beer will also head to South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas this year.

Edna Davis, the daughter of Mike John, took control of the business in 1945, and oversaw major growth and expansion.
