Against the Grain Brewery to Open Retail Store

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville’s first brewer owned brewery, Against the Grain, is set to open a retail store, Against the Grain Bottle & Gift Shop, on November 23, 2018. The store will be located in the same building as Against the Grain Brewery and Smokehouse on 401 East Main Street. The store will feature a variety of Against the Grain cans, bottles, specialty beers exclusive to the store, and operate keg sales to the public. They will also sell branded merchandise and a lineup of beers from close brewery friends like Stillwater Artisanal (Brooklyn, NY) and Marz Brewing (Chicago, IL).

Jessy Harding, Events and Merchandise Manager, commented that “gone are the days of boring tee shirts and collapsible dog water bowls. Our beer is never boring and neither is our merch. We’ll be offering our hand-selected merch designed in-house like patterned camp hats, duffel bags, fanny packs, beach balls, and canvas art.”

The store’s operating hours will be Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Sam Cruz, Owner, and Visionary, said, “We feel we’re ready to provide a high-quality retail experience to expand our brand and offer our diverse array of products in a one-stop shop.”

The grand opening on Black Friday will feature a slew of events over the weekend. More information about the opening event can be found here.
