21st Amendment Brewery Announces New Beers, Markets and Packaging

San Leandro, CA. – The arrival of a New Year marks a time of change for many, but 21st Amendment Brewery is kicking down the door in 2017 with a number of exciting additions. From new beers, new packaging and new market expansions, the Bay Area brewery is coming in hot with a Beer Calendar full of excitement. Highlights include:

  • Blah Blah Blah IPA in six packs – February
  • Introduction of Blood Orange Brew Free! or Die IPA – March
  • Transition from 12 Packs to 15 Packs – March
  • New Insurrection Series debut – April
  • Opening in Arizona and Colorado – Spring/Summer

“This year you’re going to see a lot more of us and a lot more innovation,” said Dave Wilson, President of 21st Amendment Brewery. “For the last three years our primary focus was getting our San Leandro brewery up and running. Now the brewery is humming, our beers are tasting better than ever and 2017 is go-time. We’re looking forward to sharing a ton of great new things with beer lovers across the U.S.”

Starting this month, 21st Amendment is introducing six packs of Blah Blah Blah IPA nationwide. This hoppy, juicy 8% abv IPA will be packaged in 21A’s familiar American iconographic style, featuring images from the Prohibition era, with a twist. “We had a lot of fun designing the new packaging. We were able to evoke our brand look and feel with a splash of our personal humor, which won’t go unnoticed when we unveil this year-round beer in the coming weeks.” added Wilson.

In March, “The Fruit Shall Set You Free” is a motto that will ring loud and true. Joining the ranks of Hell or High Watermelon (the brewery’s wheat beer brewed with real watermelon), you’ll see the national launch of Blood Orange Brew Free! or Die IPA – in six packs and on draft – proving once more that no one does fruit beer better than the 21A. According to Brewmaster and co-founder Shaun O’Sullivan, “We’re using the same fruit-infusion technique that we’ve mastered with Watermelon Wheat, but this time we’re introducing a brand new refreshing recipe made with fresh blood oranges that will be a perfect IPA to enjoy year-round. The citrus of the blood orange compliments the hops quite perfectly.”

New, eye-catching 15 Packs will be entering all 21A markets in March replacing the former 12 packs. Wilson notes, “El Sully Mexican-style lager, Brew Free! or Die IPA and Hell or High Watermelon will be the first 15 packs to make an appearance. Following close behind will be year-round variety pack options offering combinations of five different 21A beers.”

True to form in having fun and switching things up, 21A has insurrected its small batch, limited edition Insurrection Series line-up and will introduce new collaborations with industry friends throughout 2017. “This is where our brewers and design team are really going to flex their talent and innovation,” said Wilson. “The 2017 Insurrection Series will feature four brand new seasonal releases that give us a chance to introduce excellent beer that also speaks to those looking for something new and rare.”

Last but not least, 21A will be making its way to Arizona and Colorado this spring and summer. “Our beer has had great success in Southern California and stepping across the border into Arizona just makes a lot of sense,” said co-founder Nico Freccia. Alternatively, “Colorado is a mecca for craft beer and we feel with the advances we’ve made in the brewery, that our beer portfolio will speak well to the Mountain West market.”

With all these plans in place, 21st Amendment Brewery is excited to jump into 2017. For up-to-date details and more information, visit www.21st-Amendment.com.
