In a first for American craft beer, Stone Brewing Co. will be opening a brewing operation in Europe, the LA Times is reporting.
Greg Koch, Co-Owner of Stone will be finalizing on a location this week for the first American craft brewery in Europe.
According to the Brewers Association, US craft exports have swelled to 1.3 million gallons, nearly three times more than 2003.
Other breweries shipping to Europe include Green Flash Brewing Co., The Bruery, and The Lost Abbey.
