Maui Brewing Company will broaden its distribution footprint to 23 states, partnering with Imperial Beverage in Michigan, Johnson Brothers of Wisconsin in Wisconsin, and Artisan Beer Company in Minnesota beginning the week of June 12th.

Maui Brewing Company is finalizing details on partnering with Monkey Rum, a portfolio of barrel aged, naturally sourced, award-winning premium rums to produce a very limited edition of barrel-aged craft spirits.
The treasured Black Pearl, with its 12.0% ABV and 30 IBUs, consists of the base beer for Imperial Coconut Porter (2016 GABF Gold Medal Field Beer Champion) that has been set aside to age in Rum barrels.
Colorado craft beer wholesaler Elite Brands has obtained the distribution rights to Wicked Weed Brewing, Maui Brewing Company and several import brands, Brewbound has learned. In a joint press release issued on December 23, Elite Brands and Wicked Weed, a popular Asheville, North Carolina-based craft brewery, announced the new distribution agreement.
Based on popular consumer demand, Maui Brewing Company’s bottling project continues with a limited release of the 2016 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal Field Beer champion, Imperial Coconut Porter. A deeper, more intense version of MBC’s flagship Coconut Hiwa Porter, Imperial Coconut Porter is brewed with hand toasted coconut, and subtle hints of cacao and coffee.
It is well-known that Maui Brewing Company is “fiercely local”, and its beers that are infused with locally-grown produce, never extracts or artificial flavors, command some respect. The latest limited release, POG IPA, is brewed with Horizon hops to provide a clean bitterness.
While not a new beer to some, Maui Brewing Company will release Haleakala Sunryes IPA in cans for a limited time to coincide with the park’s Centennial Anniversary. This medium-bodied India Pale Ale has a deep dark copper appearance, while the rye adds an earthy and spicy character complementing the bitterness of the hops.
