TENNESSEE BREW WORKS ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF THE LENOIR CITY BARREL HOUSE
Expands its Tennessee footprint with a new taproom and brewhouse in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (August 18, 2026) – Tennessee Brew Works is pleased to announce the grand opening of their new location, the Lenoir City Barrel House, 200 East Depot Street, Lenoir City, TN, on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 11am-10pm.
Located at a crossroads near I-40, I-75 and Route 321 in East Tennessee, Lenoir City sits by the Tennessee River, Tellico Lake and Fort Loudoun Lake, earning the nickname Lakeway to the Smokies. The Lenoir City Barrel House will initially utilize a 5-barrel brewhouse for experimental and small-batch beer and beverage creations, with plans for a greater production system as we grow. The Lenoir City taproom showcases an expanded retail footprint and menu offerings. The location will also serve as a sports bar and live music venue. Operations at the new location will be led by General Manager and Tennessee Brew Works veteran, Jason Connelly, who has relocated from Nashville.
Since its inception in 2013, Tennessee Brew Works has been a pioneer in the world of Tennessee brewing, with their unwavering commitment to creating high-quality craft beers that pay homage to the land, traditions, and culture of Tennessee. In 2018, they proudly introduced the state's first All-Tennessee grain beers in collaboration with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, showcasing their dedication to local ingredients and craftsmanship.
The brewing program is led by Head Brewer and Tennessee-native, Clark Brandon, a ten-year veteran of Tennessee Brew Works. Many will recognize the popular Hippies & Cowboys IPA, one of the top selling Tennessee-born beer created by an independently owned brewery. Also, their State Park Blonde Ale is the official beer of the Tennessee State Parks, brewed with Tennessee-farm sourced ingredients and a portion of sales benefits the Tennessee State Parks Conservancy for the preservation of the state parks.
Tennessee Brew Works has partnered with many Tennessee agricultural organizations for the brewery and taproom, including Murfreesboro’s Batey Farms and Hillsboro’s Willis Farms for grains, Delvin Farms (College Grove, TN), Strange Honey Farm (Del Rio, TN), Cul2vate Farm (Brentwood, TN) and Bloomsbury Farm (Smyrna, TN) for Tennessee-born adjuncts. They are further expanding their repertoire with East Tennessee partnerships including Wampler’s Farm Sausage, Sweetwater Family Farm, Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams & Bacon, plus many smaller area farms. The Lenoir City Farmer’s Market situates right next to the facility, providing access to many hyper-local, farm-fresh ingredients.
Their partnership with local farms, exemplified in the Great American Beer Festival Award-winning "Farmer's Beat" Saison/Farmhouse ale, made with local Tennessee beets, showcases their commitment to sourcing quality natural ingredients from their Tennessee roots. This dedication to collaboration is evident in every sip and bite, forging connections between local communities, flavors, and traditions.
While Tennessee Brew Works has certainly made its mark in the world of brewing, their creativity doesn't stop there. Under the visionary guidance of Executive Chef Alex Leibow, the brewery seamlessly blends their craft beers into an innovative culinary experience that leaves patrons raving. Examples include their iconic Five Beer Burger, a culinary masterpiece that boasts five of their beers as core ingredients in its creation; they bake their own beer breads and buns in-house, which now includes an amber ale pizza dough, featuring a proprietary saison pizza sauce, for their new pizza offerings. Every item on the menu is meticulously crafted with their beers in mind. Chef Leibow has relocated from Nashville to Lenoir City to launch the expanded taproom kitchen he helped design.
“We are excited to bring a unique and family-friendly experience to Lenoir City,” said Chef Leibow. “Staying true to our mission, we are focusing on sourcing local ingredients, creating a strong working relationship with the community, and ultimately delivering the best of Tennessee and craft beer in our culinary creations.”
“The opening of the Lenoir City Barrel House represents the culmination of vision, many years of hard work, and perseverance. It is particularly meaningful to celebrate this milestone as we mark Tennessee Brew Works’ 13th anniversary,” said Christian Spears, Tennessee Brew Works Founder and CEO. “It is a fitting moment to reflect and appreciate how far we’ve come, while looking ahead to an exciting future in Lenoir City.”
Tennessee Brew Works also has a brewery and taproom location at 809 Ewing Ave in Nashville and a bar in BNA International Airport, Terminals A & B Rotunda.
