Following success across Florida, the Asian American-owned premium real fruit vodka seltzer brand begins its California rollout with real fruit flavors rooted in Asian culinary heritage.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Dô Asian Cocktails, the Asian American-owned premium canned cocktail brand, will officially initiate its soft launch across the West Coast at the 2026 Plate by Plate Los Angeles tasting gala, hosted by Project by Project Los Angeles. Building on initial momentum across Florida, the brand plans to introduce its signature lineup of 5.5% ABV real fruit vodka seltzers to premier regional cultural events in California starting in 2027.
Spearheading the brand’s market expansion and brand strategy is newly appointed Chief Marketing Officer Steve T. Tran, who joins co-founders Thinh Nguyen and Wyzscx Patacxil to direct omni-channel growth, strategic partnerships, and retail distribution.
A Name Built for Gathering
Founder & CEO Thinh Nguyen named the brand after the classic phrase echoed across Vietnamese dining tables before every toast: "Một! Hai! Ba! Dô! (pronounced as Yo!)" — "One, two, three, cheers!"
"It's a countdown built for drinking together, not alone—which says as much about how we built this brand as it does about where the name comes from," said Thinh Nguyen. "Dô represents celebration, community, and sharing authentic flavors with the people around you."
Real Fruit. Zero Shortcuts.
Unlike conventional hard seltzers that rely on synthetic flavor concentrates or artificial essences, Dô Asian Cocktails is crafted using 100% real fruit juice sourced directly from the native regions where each fruit thrives. Every expression is built on a base of five-times distilled premium vodka, contains zero grams of added sugar, and is naturally gluten-free.
The West Coast soft launch highlights four signature flavor profiles:
Vietnamese Passionfruit: Tart, vibrant, and aromatic, made with fresh passionfruit sourced directly from Vietnam.
Hawaiian Pineapple: Naturally sweet and balanced, capturing the sun-ripened profile of fresh Hawaiian pineapple.
Taiwanese Mandarin Orange: Bright and citrus-forward, celebrating the crisp citrus traditions of Chinese heritage.
Japanese Yuzu: Intensely refreshing, offering the distinct, zesty punch of authentic Japanese yuzu.
"The hard seltzer category has spent years offering generic 'tropical' or synthetic 'Asian-inspired' concepts that lack true culinary integrity," said Steve T. Tran, who is also the Marketing Director for Project by Project. "Our California soft-launch debut introduces consumers to what authentic regional flavors actually taste like when you refuse to take shortcuts."
Debuting at Plate by Plate Los Angeles
As part of its California debut, Dô Asian Cocktails will serve as a featured craft beverage VIP partner at the 2026 Plate by Plate Tasting Gala on September 19 at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, offering attendees an exclusive taste of its signature lineup.
Already available in multiple Total Wine & More locations throughout Florida, Dô Asian Cocktails is exploring West Coast availability. To locate nearby retailers or follow the rollout, visit doasiancocktails.com or connect with @doasiancocktails.
