Original Sin Celebrates 30 Years with the Launch of Devil Light and Devil Imperial Ciders

New York, NY — [Insert Date] — Original Sin Cider, founded in 1996 and a pioneer of the modern U.S. cider movement, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the launch of a new product platform: Devil Light Cider and Devil Imperial Cider.

As consumer preferences continue to diverge between lighter, lower-calorie, lower-alcohol beverages and more robust, higher-ABV offerings, Original Sin developed the Devil platform to meet both ends of the spectrum.

Devil Light Cider (3.3% ABV, ~90 calories) is a crisp, refreshing cider crafted from freshly pressed apples and pasteurized apple cider vinegar. The apple cider vinegar adds brightness and structure, delivering full apple flavor in a lighter, highly drinkable cider.

Devil Imperial Cider (8.2% ABV) is a bold, apple-forward cider made from freshly pressed apples and finished with French bittersweet apple juice concentrate. The result is a rich, balanced cider with exceptional depth and fresh apple character.

“Thirty years ago, when Original Sin launched in New York City, it wasn't uncommon to walk into a bar or restaurant in the Lower East Side, East Village, or Williamsburg and have to convince people there was a market for hard cider. In some cases, you first had to explain what hard cider actually was. With limited resources, we spent each day going bar-to-bar and restaurant-to-restaurant, building an account base.
