New Initiative Unites Pennsylvania’s Brewing Community Under One Statewide Platform to Grow Visitation, Awareness and Industry Impact

Pittsburgh—June 2, 2026—The Pennsylvania Malt and Brewed Beverage Industry Promotion Board officially unveiled PA Brews, a first-of-its-kind statewide brand campaign created to unify and elevate Pennsylvania’s brewing industry. The announcement was made at the Craft Brewers Conference, one of the nation’s premier gatherings of brewing professionals.

Led by the Promotion Board and creatively developed by Gatesman, PA Brews is the official statewide marketing platform for Pennsylvania’s malt and brewed beverage industry, bringing together breweries, distributors, retailers and tourism partners under one shared identity and positioning the Commonwealth as a leading destination for beer culture, innovation and experience. The initiative is supported in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, reinforcing the vital connection between brewing and the Commonwealth’s agricultural economy.

The launch comes at a pivotal moment as PA beer industry partners navigate shifting consumer preferences, rising costs and increased competition across beverage categories. By creating a unified voice for the industry, PA Brews aims to strengthen Pennsylvania’s position and drive sustained growth.

PA Brews is a bold, unifying brand built to celebrate the full spectrum of Pennsylvania’s brewing community. Grounded in a storyline that honors the people, passion and pride behind every pour, the brand is rooted in the belief that beer in Pennsylvania is more than a product—it’s a shared cultural experience that connects communities across the Commonwealth.

This spirit comes to life through a distinctive visual identity inspired by Pennsylvania’s heritage and modern energy, blending industrial grit with vibrant, contemporary design elements that feel both authentic and forward-looking. A centralized digital hub serves as the campaign’s home base, offering trip-planning tools, curated content and storytelling from across Pennsylvania’s brewing community. Consumers can learn more and start exploring at pabrews.com and check out official social media profiles, including instagram.com/pa.brews, where the team shares exclusive campaign content as well as designated posts for PA beer industry partners.

The brand will extend across a comprehensive, multi-channel campaign, including digital, social, out-of-home and targeted paid media, designed to amplify local stories, inspire exploration and invite audiences to “Drink It In” as they experience Pennsylvania’s breweries, landscapes and communities in new and meaningful ways. Paid media will kick off in late summer and early fall.

“Pennsylvania has long been a cornerstone of American brewing,” said Michele Burchfield, PA Malt and Brewed Beverage Industry Promotion Board Member. “With PA Brews, we’re building a unified platform to celebrate our industry, support our producers and tell Pennsylvania’s story in a more powerful, coordinated way.”

Pennsylvania’s malt and brewed beverage industry contributes about $5 billion to the state economy and includes hundreds of producers across the Commonwealth. Despite its scale, the industry has not historically operated under a single, cohesive statewide brand. PA Brews is designed to change that, offering a collaborative platform that reflects the full breadth of the industry and invites participation from all stakeholders.

“This initiative is about bringing the entire industry together,” said Burchfield. “From legacy producers to independent brewers and emerging makers, PA Brews is designed to represent and support all who contribute to Pennsylvania’s brewing landscape.”

At the center of the launch, the PA Brews campaign invites travelers and locals alike to experience Pennsylvania through its breweries, landscapes and communities. The campaign connects brewing with tourism, encouraging audiences to:

  • Explore brewery destinations and trails across the state
  • Discover the stories behind Pennsylvania’s makers
  • Engage with authentic, local experiences rooted in community

The Promotion Board will work closely with brewers, distributors, retailers and tourism stakeholders to activate the brand across the Commonwealth. The launch comes at a critical time for the industry, as producers navigate shifting consumer behaviors and increased competition across beverage categories.

Breweries, distributors, retailers and tourism partners across Pennsylvania are invited to get involved by joining the PA Brews platform, accessing brand tools and contributing their stories to help shape and grow the statewide movement.
