DULUTH, Minn. — Wild State Cider, Minnesota’s largest cidery, has announced a comprehensive statewide distribution partnership with the Bud Network, effective June 1, 2026. The agreement encompasses the company’s full portfolio — including its flagship craft ciders and hemp brands Birdie and Odder — bringing Wild State products to retail shelves and on-premise accounts across every region of Minnesota.
Founded in 2019 in Duluth, Wild State Cider has grown into one of the Midwest’s fastest-growing beverage companies, with its cider and hemp products now available in 23 states across the country. The Bud Network partnership represents the company’s next step in deepening its presence in its home market, continuing the strong growth trajectory it has built since launch.
“We’re grateful for the strong partnership we built with Johnson Brothers — they were an important part of our growth, and we have a lot of appreciation for everything we accomplished together. As we look ahead, aligning with the Bud Network gives us the statewide infrastructure to match where our brand is headed, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s next.”
— Adam Ruhland, Wild State Cider
The partnership covers Wild State’s full lineup. Its craft ciders are made with fresh-pressed apples, without added sugar, a standard the brand calls “Actually Natural.” Birdie, its hemp-derived THC beverage line, brings that same philosophy to the cannabis drink space with fruit-forward flavors made from real juice, available in 5mg and 10mg options. Odder rounds out the hemp portfolio as a value-driven complementary brand in the growing hemp beverage category. All products are available in MN wherever alcohol and hemp beverages are sold.
“Wild State has built something with real authenticity and real momentum. We see tremendous potential for this brand to reach new heights within our network — the craft cider category is strong, and the hemp beverage space continues to grow. We’re thrilled to welcome them and look forward to what we’ll build together across Minnesota.”
— Joe Dick, C+L Distributing
Distribution across Minnesota is served by nine regional wholesalers within the Bud Network: Capitol Beverage, C+L Distributing, College City Beverage, Doll Distributing, D-S Beverages, Madison Bottling Co., Northwest Beverage, Schott Distributing, and Tow Distributing, providing comprehensive coverage statewide. Wild State remains partnered with Bernick’s Distribution for Birdie and Odder throughout the entire Bernick’s territory.
Wild State Cider’s taproom is located at 2515 West Superior Street in Duluth’s Lincoln Park Craft District. For more information, visit wildstatecider.com.
