Delaware: Calling all Delaware craft beer fans: the official start of beer season is almost here. American Craft Beer Week, hosted annually by the Brewers Association, runs May 11 to May 17, and breweries across the First State are marking the occasion with a collaborative Keep The Pint program. Beginning May 14, stop by your favorite Delaware brewery to pick up one of these limited-edition, First State–inspired glasses while supplies last.
While you’re there, raise a glass to the Delaware Brewers Guild, a 501(c) nonprofit that advocates on behalf of the state’s independent craft breweries in government and community affairs. The Guild spearheaded this year’s promotion. “Keep the Pint has become a popular annual tradition here in Delaware,” said Jon Schorah, president of the Delaware Brewers Guild and head brewer at Dewey Beer Company. “The last two releases were incredibly well received. With this year’s design leaning into the upcoming semiquincentennial, we think fans are going to love it just as much.”
Participating breweries include Autumn Arch Beer Project, Bellefonte Brewing, Bethany Brewing, Big Oyster Brewing, Crooked Hammock, Dewey Beer Co, Dogfish Head, JAKL Beer Works, Lewes Brewing, Volunteer Brewing, and Wilmington Brew Works. As the kids are saying, don’t sleep on these… they’ll be gone before you know it!
