Benny Boy Brewing and World Champion Pitcher Alex Vesia Step Up to the Plate with New Bullpen Dawg Hazy IPA

LOS ANGELES – Benny Boy Brewing has teamed up with fan favorite Alex Vesia to release Bullpen Dawg Hazy IPA, an exclusive collaboration with a World Champion pitcher, brewed in the heart of Los Angeles’ Lincoln Heights. Born from a shared passion for craft excellence and community, the limited-edition beer makes its debut Saturday, August 30, 2025.

The hazy IPA’s name honors the camaraderie and fierce mentality Vesia and his fellow relievers embrace, earning the nickname “bullpen dawgs” for their unwavering performance on the mound. The label, designed by Darn Good Design Co., channels that energy while capturing the spirit of Los Angeles’ vibrant baseball culture.

Made with whole flower Citra, Simcoe and Krush hops – naturally carbonated and unfiltered – Bullpen Dawg offers bold tropical tasting notes with a bright, refreshing finish. At 6.3% ABV, it strikes a balance of intensity and drinkability for both high-leverage situations and victory celebrations.

To celebrate the launch of Bullpen Dawg, Benny Boy Brewing is hosting an exclusive meet-and-greet with Vesia on August 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets include a photo opportunity with Vesia, a signed commemorative postcard, and one 16-ounce can of Bullpen Dawg. 

Bullpen Dawg is available on draft ($9) and in four-pack 16-ounce cans ($20) through the end of the current baseball season at the Lincoln Heights brewery and cidery located at 1821 Daly St, Los Angeles, CA 90031.
