St. Elmo Brewing Co. Kicks Off Free “Carl Wash” Beer Rinses on Father’s Day at Birds Barbershop
To celebrate Father’s Day, St. Elmo Brewing Co. and Birds Barbershop are raising a can to dads—and shine—with the launch of the “Carl Wash.” From Sun., June 15, through Mon., June 30, 2025, clients can request a free “Carl Wash” with any haircut at all nine Austin locations as a complimentary add-on.
Inspired by the age-old beauty hack of rinsing hair with beer for added shine, the “Carl Wash” puts a local spin on it by using Carl, the crisp, easy-drinking flagship brew from St. Elmo, as a final rinse after shampooing. The B vitamins and proteins in beer coat the hair shaft, adding volume and reflective properties for enhanced shine and softness.
In true Birds fashion, we’re making it extra fun: every client who requests a St. Elmo beer will also receive a limited-edition “Carl Wash” koozie and sticker, while supplies last.
