Andover Cider Co. Signs Distribution Agreement with Sheehan Family Companies

Andover Cider Co., a hard apple cider brewing company based in Andover, Massachusetts, is expanding distribution by signing with the Sheehan Family Companies (includes Seaboard, Craft Mass, L. Knife). The Sheehan Family Companies are one of the most prominent distributors in Massachusetts and will immediately begin to represent Andover Cider Co.'s hard apple cider in retail locations across the state.. 

Andover Cider Co is known for its unique 500ml glass bottle, and artisanal, premium hard cider with simple ingredients ("Sip on Simplicity™), with the only ingredient listed as "apples".  No sugar is ever added and its hallmark is a dry, crisp taste.

The idea for Andover Cider Co. was born from founder and owner Caleb Harty's diagnosis of a gluten allergy in 2019. After searching for a suitable replacement for his beloved beer brands, hard cider soon became the option although he found them to be too sweet and sugary. When his growing family moved into a new home that boasted a sturdy 175-year old barn, he knew it was time to get serious about making hard cider. The Andover Cider Co. became a reality in December 2022 and retail sales kicked in by September 2023. 

His efforts were affirmed by participating in the 2023 U.S. Open Cider Championship and being awarded the Bronze Medal in the "Traditional Dry" category. Competing against more established cider makers from all over North America, their hard cider was noted for its crisp, light flavor balanced with an extraordinary natural apple taste. Andover Cider Co. has expanded from the original recipe and now offers limited edition and seasonal flavors such as Summer Raspberry and Cranberry Apple. All of the refreshing flavors are naturally gluten free, best enjoyed chilled, and are the perfect accompaniment to gatherings over meals or while simply relaxing with friends around the campfire.
