East Aurora- Just in time for Easter, 42 North Brewing Company and Buffalo’s
own, Watson’s Chocolates have teamed up on a very special beer, Velvet
Dreams. Velvet Dreams is a 5.5% abv raspberry creme gose that pairs perfectly
with the season and Watson’s Chocolate. This gose features vibrant red
raspberry and a creamy touch of lactose and vanilla to deliver a refreshing,
fruity balance.
The concept of this collaboration started over a beer in Ellicottville, NY. “We were sharing a beer with the family at the Holiday Valley beer festival and thought it would be great to collaborate. We are honored to work with Watson’s team to deliver this innovative style,” stated 42 North Founder, John Cimperman.
Andrew Beecher of Watson’s Chocolates adds, “It’s been great to work with 42 North. We’ve been big fans of 42 North for years and look forward to this being the first of many collaborations with the brewery.”
Watson’s Chocolates is a Buffalo institution. The Watson family began crafting chocolates in the back room of their Kenmore luncheonette in 1946. Four generations later, Watson’s is celebrating 80 years and continues using family recipes to handcraft delicious confections for their eight Western New York shops and online.
Velvet Dreams is now available at both 42 North taprooms and retail locations across Buffalo and Rochester wherever fine craft beer is sold.
