CLACKAMAS, Ore. — March 6, 2025 — Portland Cider Company has pulled its popular Concord Grape cider out of retirement for a small-batch run, and has added the brand-new Imperial Island Daiquiri Cider to its year-round collection.
Concord Grape, a favorite of fruit cider fans, is back for the first time in more than three years. The cider is grape-forward, with a tart apple finish that balances the sweetness of the sun-ripened grapes. Delicate carbonation lets the blend of fruit flavors take the lead. This one is delightful on its own, or alongside savory pork roast, a cheese platter or fresh green salad.
“We’re happy to give people another chance to enjoy Concord Grape, after so many years in the Portland Cider vault,” said Jeff Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider Company. “It’s one of those ciders that doesn’t take itself too seriously but is still a really high-quality cider.”
Imperial Island Daiquiri takes the taste buds on a tropical journey, with bursts of juicy pineapple, smooth coconut, and the bright citrus zest of oranges. Warm nutmeg comes through on the finish, lingering pleasantly. This imperial cider is perfectly paired with spicy curries, grilled seafood, and barbecue—the ideal summertime beverage.
“As the imperial category continues to grow, we know people are looking for more options, and the
tropical fruits in Island Daiquiri really lend themselves well to an imperial-strength cider,” continued Parrish. “This cider is really refreshing and unique. It’ll be a great addition to backyard barbecues and picnics as the weather warms up.”
Concord Grape has a quaffable 5.2% ABV and will be available through the spring season, or while supplies last in 19.2-ounce Proper Pint cans. Imperial Island Daiquiri has 8.4% ABV and is available in 12-ounce 6-packs. Both ciders can be found at retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as on draft at the company’s Clackamas taproom.
