Beer. Is. Art regards hard working female beer brewers and women in the beer industry in terms of their strength, will to survive and thrive while challenging society's stereotypes as Hyena Queens. A hyena clan ruled by a woman known as a Hyena Queen. Females are in charge of the hyena clan. When an alpha female, the hyena queen is in charge she must lead the clan to prosperity in a hunt all the time. If not, the clan will go to starvation and her cubs might not survive. When a hyena queen has cubs to feed, keeping those cubs alive is a priority. She needs to be a mother to her cubs and a leader to her clan.
Things can be hard in the hyena clan whereby there is drought and the animals are nowhere to be found, the temperature will be hot and hyena clan members cannot do anything but escape the scorching sun in the shade. The queen takes off to do the hunt alone. She cannot rest; she takes off in the burning sun risking her life because she has her cubs and clan to take care of. She can become embolden and brave taking on prey twice her size. When she kills that prey, she calls the entire clan to come and eat the spoils of her efforts.
The beer brewing industry is male dominated. Women beer brewers or brewery owners will often hire other women to give them an opportunity too. The other women that are hired have children to feed as well. She pushes the brewery to success in order to feed her children and their children. Just like a hyena queen who hunts not only
for her cubs but for her clan's cubs as well. The Hyena Queen's bond with her pack is unbreakable, forged through trials and triumphs. The Hyena Queen possesses a gentle heart. She cares for the sick and injured, offering comfort and solace in times of need. That is what women are known for. We have just celebrated Mother's Day.

Beer is Art campaign was founded by Obakeng Malope it teaches the unemployed youth over the age of 21 about beer, that beer is not something that you drink and get drunk off. Beer is Art teaches beer and food pairing, brewing, licensing beer podcasts and starting your own beer brand. It shows them that they can turn beer into a career. Beer is art, saw an economic situation of poverty and they see it being solved by beer. In communities whereby people are poor beer is abused Beer is Art wants beer to go to those same communities and empower them through entrepreneurship
