Strong Gains at Walmart and Total Wine & More Fuel Loverboy’s Momentum Heading into Summer Sipping Season

NEW YORK – May 14, 2024 – Loverboy, the better ingredients and flavor innovation leader in premium sparkling hard teas, spritzes and canned cocktails, is sprinting into summer with nationwide distribution at Walmart and a can’t miss, full line national endcap program with longtime retail partner Total Wine & More, the nation’s largest alcohol retailer.

Loverboy’s retail expansion is fueled by two new, summer-themed sparkling hard tea variety packs stocked with fan favorite flavors. Each 8-pack clocks in at 90 calories and zero grams of sugar per can (as in, 100% less sugar than other leading hard teas):

  • Cool Classics – Lemon Iced Tea, Half & Half Tea, Black Cherry Vanilla Tea, Strawberry Lemonade Tea

  • Vacay Vibes – White Tea Peach, Pineapple Hibiscus Tea, Mango Pear Tea, Hibiscus Lime Tea

Loverboy-loving Walmart shoppers will find each new 8-pack alongside 6-packs of all-time best-selling White Tea Peach and Lemon Iced Tea in nearly 1,500 stores spread across the US. Total Wine & More consumers will find attention-grabbing end caps marked by the tagline, “Summer Never Tasted so Good,” showcasing the new 8-pack variety packs alongside the rest of the portfolio, including spritz variety packs and canned cocktails.

The brand’s growth at the two bellwether retailers contributed to a pre-peak season gain of more than 4,000 points of distribution nationwide – and growing.

“Everyone is calling 2024 the year of hard tea, so being embraced by the likes of Walmart and Total Wine & More, just as peak season heats up, says everything about Loverboy’s power to attract incremental shoppers looking for better ingredients and better taste into the category,” said Kyle Cooke, Loverboy founder and CEO.  “Our new, summer-themed variety packs nail it with all-time favorites formatted in 8-packs that everyone wants, with graphics that literally pop right off the shelf. The Cool Classics and Vacay Vibes variety 8-packs retail at a suggested $14.99 and the single-flavor 6-packs for sparking hard teas at $10.99. In addition to Walmart and Total Wine & More, Loverboy is available at Whole Foods, Kroger, Walgreens and other retailers that carry adult beverages nationwide.
