Water Valley, MS — On the verge of the 4-year anniversary of our small microbrewery located in Water Valley, Mississippi, it is so humbling to think back on all of the support that we have received from people across our home state. With the exciting news that HB-1322 will become law in Mississippi, we wanted to share some news about the future of Yalobusha Brewing Company.
When we started Yalobusha Brewing, the goal was to bring fresh, exceptionally made local beer to north Mississippi, to our friends and neighbors. It was also extremely important to use the brewery to partner with the community through giving to Mississippi non-profits and charities: to date, YaloBrew has donated over $500,000 to these charitable partners.
We choose to be great, rather than big.
With the changing of the law at hand, we have decided to convert Yalobusha Brewing Company to a brewpub. This will take our product off the shelves throughout the state, and our location in Water Valley will be the exclusive place to purchase our beer.
This will enable us to stay small but to have 100% of our sales be direct to consumer.
At a future date, we will also share plans and locations of future brewpubs we intend to open.
We will be adding a restaurant and a coffee/espresso bar that will include an on-site roaster, through a partnership with the fantastic Heartbreak Coffee Co., to our building on Main Street that will further enhance our already spectacular downtown Water Valley area. This also reflects the growth of our area and the huge local support we have received on our weekend tours. Many of the tap-room exclusive selections you may have tried will now become beers that you can order by the pint or get a growler to go. We will also be announcing several ticketed events throughout the year that will celebrate the release of our limited release beers, including the very much sought after Testify® among other barrel aged products.
We want to thank each and every person that has bought a YaloBrew over the last several years, and a heartfelt thank you to our retailer and distribution partners that have supported us.
