Announcing the 2017 Brewbound Award Winners

Brewbound today announced the winners of its 2017 Brewbound Awards, which recognize the business efforts of beer companies across the U.S.

First launched in 2014, the Brewbound Awards acknowledge breweries for their execution of various sales, marketing, and philanthropic initiatives. The awards also recognize large and small beer companies, as well as notable industry figures, for their impact on the category.

“The Brewbound Awards shine a spotlight on the businesses and individuals behind some of the country’s most successful beer brands,” Brewbound editor Chris Furnari said. “The awards are less about identifying the ‘best’ beers in America – something that is very subjective – and more about acknowledging some of the creative ways these companies are trying to differentiate themselves in an incredibly competitive category.”

Winners of the fourth annual Brewbound Awards were named during the Brewbound Session business conference, which took place on November 29 in Santa Monica, California. They are

  • Cause of the Year: Creature Comforts Brewing, Get Comfortable Campaign
  • Brand Expression of the Year: Lagunitas Brewing Company, SuperCritical Ale
  • Beer Product of the Year: Dogfish Head, SeaQuench Ale
  • Collaboration of the Year: Forbidden Root and Fernet-Branca, Fernetic
  • Breakout Brewery of the Year: Melvin Brewing
  • Craft Brewery of the Year: Modern Times Beer
