Wild Sun Winery, the award-winning winery located in Hillsboro, Missouri, has partnered with St. Louis-based Brew Hub to brew their two new beers.

Capitalizing on the success of its shipboard breweries, Carnival Cruise Line has partnered with Lakeland, Florida-based Brew Hub to become the first cruise line to can and keg its own private label beers crafted by its in-house brewery team aboard Carnival Horizon and Carnival Vista.

Toppling Goliath, one of the most sought-after craft beer brands in the country, is now available in St. Louis. The Brew Hub Taproom at 5656 Oakland Avenue in the City of St. Louis is the exclusive Missouri location for Toppling Goliath’s flagship beers including Dorothy’s New World Lager, Pseudo Sue Pale Ale, Golden Nugget India Pale Ale and Pompeii India Pale Ale.

Brew Hub has hit the pause button on an ambitious plan to spend $100 million to build five new contract brewing facilities throughout the U.S. by 2018. “Building a new brewery in another geography doesn’t seem as strategic as it did four years ago,” Brew Hub CEO Tim Schoen told Brewbound.

The Blackberry Farm Brewery has partnered with Brew Hub of Lakeland, FL, to introduce a line of canned craft beers launching in July 2017. While the brewery’s cork and cage bottles have been the brand’s hallmark and a great success in the craft beer market, the line of canned beers is designed to offer a Blackberry Farm beer option ideal for outdoor adventures, spending time with friends and being present to enjoy everyday moments

It took 18 months, but Brew Hub has finally selected a site for its second “partner” brewing facility. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Brew Hub’s development partner, Green Street, has a “letter of intent to acquire a 7-acre property at the southwest corner of Chesterfield Airport Road and Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard.”

Brew Bus, a Tampa-based brewery tour operator, today announced its purchase of Florida Avenue Brewing for an undisclosed sum. First revealed last December, the deal includes the Florida Avenue brewery and tasting room in Seminole Heights, a space Brew Bus is spending about $250,000 to renovate. Upon completion, the location will also serve as a base camp for Brew Bus brewery tours in Tampa.

Here’s something we didn’t quite expect to hear from Brew Hub founder Tim Schoen: In the company’s $100 million quest to build out a nationwide network of five contract facilities by 2018, Brew Hub would consider acquisition, and not just construction as a means of establishing a brewing presence in the Northeast, Texas and on the West Coast.

Another craft-focused contract brewing operation has entered the fray. Great Central Brewing Company (GCBC) broke ground on a new 32,000 sq. ft. contract brewing facility in Chicago last week. Scheduled for a summer 2016 opening, the brewery joins a growing list of craft-minded contract facilities established to help other small producers scale up, instead of focusing on their own in-house labels.
