Our public-facing space — the Ratskeller (beer hall & patio) and gift store — will remain temporarily closed to the public. A reopen date has not yet been established. Please check our website or follow our social channels (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter), as this is where we will make the announcement when we are ready to open to the public again.
However, we continue to brew and package like crazy all of our Summit beers to satisfy the demand and thirst of our loyal Summit fans and supporters. For this we are incredibly thankful!
So, please continue to support your local pub/restaurant/bar/liquor stores, order a pint or two of Summit and we'll keep brewing and packaging our beers!

After a year characterized by change, Summit Brewing Company is beginning 2021 with welcomed regularity. Summit Twenty-One IPA and Summit Mixed Pack IPA Edition will be returning as the spring seasonal and spring variety pack respectively.
The welcoming in of a new year is always reason for occasion, but the arrival of 2021 in particular was even more pronounced. After a long and challenging 2020, many were excited to turn the page to a year full of promise. For us at Summit Brewing Co. this year also holds special meaning as we celebrate our 35th year. We are grateful that despite numerous obstacles throughout the years we are still able to brew beer true to our original vision.
It’s safe to say that 2020 has not been the year we expected. We’ve gone from seventh inning stretches to stretching out on the couch, dancing cheek-to-cheek to dancing with ourselves, and from reaching out & touching you to not standing so close to one another.
After a successful debut in the 2020 Summit Block Party Box in April, Summit Triumphant Session IPA is joining the year-round lineup as our seventh beer and third IPA.
Here at Summit Brewing Company, we’ve always believed that beer can bring us together. That remains true now more than ever. We continue to release new and exciting products in an effort to create some stability during these uncertain times. Today, we’re excited to announce the release of our Summit Block Party Box.
It’s been a year of change at Summit Brewing Company. Though we’re only just four months in, we’ve already launched a new spring seasonal and new variety pack. Now, we’re announcing another new seasonal – Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style Ale with Lime.
Summit Brewing Company met the new decade with two brand new beers and one brand new variety package. First, in January, Summit released Summit Twenty-One IPA. Then, at the beginning of February, Summit released the Mixed Pack IPA Edition variety pack, which includes the newest limited-edition beer: Elderflower IPA.
Around this time last year, the Beer Institute (BI), a national trade association representing the American brewing industry, warned that President Donald Trump’s aluminum and steel tariffs would cost the beer industry $347 million annually. Well, as it turns out, the BI’s worst fears are coming true. The Washington, D.C., lobbying group tapped Harbor Aluminum — a research firm that specializes in the global aluminum industry – to study and estimate the cost of aluminum tariffs under section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 since they were imposed on March 8, 2018.
First brewed in late 2016 as a limited, one-time-only beer, Summit Dark Infusion — the only Summit Unchained Series beer we’ve ever brought back — now returns due to universal consumer demand. It comes in peace for all mankind.
The Summit Bonfire Box variety pack, featuring four delicious beers perfectly suited for the fast-approaching mild evenings which you will wisely spend drinking beers in the out of doors.
Nine months after breaking ground on a renovation of its former “Beer Hall,” Summit Brewing Co. is delighted as heck to announce the Grand Reopening of its public space — now with new furniture, new hours, a new doorway, and a new name. The Summit Ratskeller, our tribute to the warm German-style taverns loved the world over, will host a private kegger and ribbon-cutting with St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter, local media, and other notable beer drinkers before opening to the public at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018.
