Peak Brewing, AMC, and Urban Farm Fermentory are leading a tasting, pairing dinner, and lodge trip.

Peak Organic Brewing is partnering with the Appalachian Mountain Club and Urban Farm Fermentory for a weekend event bringing together the Maine outdoors with some exceptional food and drink. The three partners have planned a four part adventure, starting in Portland, ME and venturing out in the wilderness surrounding Moosehead Lake. From tastings to hop picking, a 5-star pairing dinner to an AMC guided hike, Peak, AMC, and UFF are excited to be hosting a phenomenal community driven event that will no doubt be a highlight of the Fall.

The event will start at Urban Farm Fermentory in downtown Portland, ME on Saturday October 17th at noon. UFF will lead a tour of their facility, after which Peak will move the party North to Fairfield/Central Maine Hops Farm where the group with explore one of Peak’s hop farms just as harvest season winds down. After the farm visit the group will make their way to the featured destination, AMC’s Gorman Chairback Lodge, where the group will host a beer and cider pairing dinner featuring products from Peak and UFF. As AMC is providing full accommodations at the Lodge, the night will be capped off by a leisurely campfire session alongside the majestic Long Pond within the 100-mile wildernes. On Sunday the group will follow AMC’s guides out for a hike in the area, after which guests are invited to depart at their leisure.

“We’re thrilled to be working with AMC and UFF on this event,” commented Peak assistant brewer Alex Selby. “I get pictures sent to me all the time from people snapping shots of Peak bottles or cans on top of a mountain or in some scenic location. We’re psyched that AMC is able to help us bring all those scenes back to life by providing us with such a beautiful setting for an event.”

This is a ticketed event with a limited number of available spots that are likely to fill up fast based on the steep discount provided by AMC. Tickets cover lodging at Gorman Lodge, dinner and drinks on Saturday night, as well as a guided morning adventure led by AMC on Sunday morning. Please see the event website for ticketing information (https://activities.outdoors.org/search/index.cfm/action/details/id/86113) or call AMC at (603)-466-2727 to reserve a spot.
