Suffolk-based St Peter’s Brewery has received top recognition at the Annual European Beer Challenge, The London Beer Competition and World Alcohol-Free Awards 2026, walking away with a total of eleven awards overall.
Giving the East Anglian brand an opportunity to compete with the world’s most recognised brands, the awards have allowed St Peter’s to showcase its range of award-winning beers and increase the brand’s exposure worldwide.
St Peter’s Brewery achieved significant success at the 2026 European Beer Challenge, winning multiple awards including a Double Gold (Cream Stout), four Gold (Christmas Ale, Organic Best Bitter, Winter Ale and Without Original) and two Silver (Golden Ale and Plum Porter).
“We are thrilled that St Peter’s was awarded seven awards at the European Beer Challenge, beating off strong competition from some of the very best breweries around the world. Winning these categories signals to customers that we are a brand they can trust and helps us boost visibility around the world,” explains Richard Mather, CEO at Sunrise Beverages, the independent UK brewing group that owns St Peter’s Brewery.
The brewery also took two bronze awards at the World Alcohol-Free Awards 2026 for Without Original and Without Gold. As the only international competition aimed exclusively at judging non-alcoholic drinks (0.5% ABV and below), those awarded are considered the most consistently excellent products.
Judges commended Without Original for being a “full bodied ‘toasted malt’ beer in the mode of a classic English bitter. Perfect for classic pub food.” They described Without Gold as “quite rich, but with a balancing hoppy bitterness”, labelling it as a great pub session beer.
“Alcohol-free beer is a dynamic and fast-growing category and we are really excited to be recognised for two of our beers. St Peter’s Without Original is a delicious ale; malty, full-bodied and bursting with flavour. We have retained the great flavour of a finely brewed ale except it’s completely alcohol free,” adds Richard.
St Peter’s Brewery, which is based in Suffolk, also picked up a bronze medal for its Plum Porter and a silver medal for its Cream Stout at the recent London Beer Competition. St Peter’s produces a range of award-winning bottled beers and cask ales. Along with the traditional ales, such as Organic Best Bitter and Golden Ale, the brewery also produces more unusual beers, contemporary session ales and alcohol-free beers. St Peter’s Brewery beers are loved and respected globally, exporting to more than 20 countries around the world.
Sunrise Beverages is an independent UK brewing group that owns and nurtures a portfolio of authentic premium beer brands, including Efes, Orion, St Peter’s, Gipsy Hill, Curious, Portobello and Days.
