(AUSTIN, Texas – May 4, 2026) – Beerburg Events will debut its new all-outdoor Beer Garden on May 28, 2026, at 13476 Fitzhugh Rd., Austin, TX 78736, ushering in a new chapter for the family-owned Hill Country destination. Opening day will feature Wildcrafted beer releases, guided garden conversations, and a celebratory gathering that invites guests to explore the land, the ingredients, and the philosophy behind each pour. The evening will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce at 5 p.m., followed by live music from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Designed as a dedicated outdoor gathering space on the lower portion of the 15-acre property, the Beer Garden responds to growing community demand. Guests can expect open-air beer service, seasonal native plant education, and a closer connection to the land behind each pour. Outfitted with sustainably built infrastructure, including a service trailer and restrooms, the Beer Garden reflects Beerburg’s most intentional integration of herbalism and conservation into both its brewing practices and its community experience.
Founded by siblings Ross, Trevor, and Elizabeth Nearburg, Beerburg began as a wildcraft-focused brewery rooted in the Texas Hill Country. After navigating industry shifts and reimagining the property as a gathering space and event venue, the Nearburg family has continued to evolve its model while preserving its original commitment to land-based brewing and community connection.
“This land has shaped everything we have built,” said Ross Nearburg, co-founder of Beerburg. “The Beer Garden is about honoring that relationship. It allows us to show up consistently for our neighbors and invite people into the full story of how our beers are made, from the soil to the glass.”
At the heart of the space is a “Living Beer Garden” planting area that highlights native and locally adapted species used in Beerburg’s Wildcrafted Beer Program. Educational plaques will identify each plant, explain how it is used in specific beers, and outline seasonal availability and harvest timing. Featured plants include prickly pear cactus, mesquite, mustang grape vines, flame leaf sumac, native plums, persimmons, and yaupon, along with redbuds, flame acanthus, and other species that support pollinators and regional habitat health.
“We love this region, and we feel a responsibility to care for it,” said Elizabeth Nearburg, co-founder of Beerburg. “This space is an invitation. We want people to experience the Hill Country in a tangible way, to see what grows here, taste how it shows up in our beers, and feel connected to something larger than a single visit.”
The installation supports both conservation and brand outcomes. By prioritizing native landscaping, the site encourages habitat health, reduces resource inputs, and strengthens the ecological identity of the property. For guests, it creates a direct and visible link between stewardship and flavor.
Trevor Nearburg, co-founder and wildcraft program lead, emphasized the experiential nature of the expansion. “Wildcrafting has always been about curiosity and connection,” Trevor said. “The Beer Garden gives us a platform to share that process more openly. It is not just about drinking a beer. It is about understanding where the ingredients come from, why they matter, and how community can gather around that story.”
The Beer Garden’s regular outdoor service model adds a consistent public-facing layer to the property while preserving the distinctive character of Beerburg’s Wildcrafted beers.
Originally founded as Beerburg Brewing, the Nearburg family reimagined the site as an event venue in 2024, expanding beyond traditional brewery operations. Since then, Beerburg Events has hosted partners such as the Austin Film Festival and welcomed a wide range of private celebrations and nonprofit gatherings across the property. Recurring community programming has also taken root, including “Sunday Dance Hall” nights, where the venue transforms into a two-stepping dance floor grounded in Hill Country tradition. As the property continues to evolve, the Beer Garden strengthens Beerburg’s role as a go-to third space in 2026 and beyond.
The Beer Garden officially opens May 28 at 5 p.m. Hours and upcoming programming will be announced via Beerburg’s website and social channels. For more information, visit beerburgbrewing.com.
