TailGate Brewery Invests in Retailers to Bring Traditional Draft Lager Experience to Tennessee

TailGate Brewery, Tennessee’s fastest growing brewery, is bringing an authentic lager experience to Tennessee with the state-wide release of its new Lager Projekt (4.8% ABV), a traditional helles style lager, this month. 

TailGate Brewery will provide custom glassware, traditional side-pour draft handles, and brewery-led training to every bar and restaurant who adds Lager Projekt to their draft menu, committing to crafting a perfect lager experience from brewhaus to glass.

“Our new Lager Projekt is a proper lager,” said TailGate Brewery founder and sole owner Wesley Keegan. “We’ve tasted it against every lager in the market. To make sure we get it right all the way through, we’re making a first-of-its-kind investment in retailers across the state who will help bring this beloved beer experience to Tennessee.” 

This beer was born from an ongoing series of beers at TailGate, titled Lager Projekt. All are crisp, clean lagers meticulously crafted by the team at TailGate, with recipes adhering as closely as possible to Reinheitsgebot German purity laws. Each beer is developed using traditional hops, clean malt bills and a water profile that matches its region of origin. This series is a labor of love, and a favorite among TailGate fans.

“We’ve spent the time and expense to develop incredible lagers during the 5 years that this Lager Projekt series was running,” said Sales and Marketing Director Liz Tarry. “Lager Projekt is the penultimate offering from that series – condensing all of our team’s time and expertise into one recipe that we’ll bring out to retail partners across the state.”

TailGate Brewery’s best-yet Lager Projekt is a traditional style Helles Lager with delicate aromas of honey, fresh bread, lemon zest, and thyme. It’s refined and light bodied with a balanced bitterness, lively effervescence, and crisp finish.
