Introducing the New England Chowder NEIPA: A Blend of Three Iconic Massachusetts Brands

Woburn, MA - Lord Hobo Brewing is proud to announce the latest addition to their exclusive Collab Series: a unique beer crafted in collaboration with two beloved local companies, Westminster Bakers Co. and Lobster Proper. This limited-edition beer will be launched with a special event on August 9th at Lord Hobo’s Woburn Taproom.

The New England Chowder NEIPA is a bright and hazy beer that pays homage to the classic flavors of the region. Brewed with Westminster's iconic oyster crackers and crafted to complement the renowned lobster dishes from Lobster Proper, this beer is a tribute to the rich food culture and proud fishing community of New England.

"This collaboration allowed us to combine these iconic brands into a beer with a fun twist, perfectly capturing the spirit of a true New England summer, the Lord Hobo way."

The collaboration showcases the expertise of Westminster Bakers Co., known for their original New England oyster crackers, with 250 lbs of these crackers generously incorporated into the brewing process. “We’re thrilled to see our oyster crackers used in such an inventive way,” said Bob Helland, COO/EVP Sales & Marketing at Westminster Bakers Co. “This unique twist brings a familiar taste into a whole new format, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”

Lobster Proper, a celebrated Massachusetts lobster pop-up famous for its mouth-watering lobster rolls, contributed their culinary knowledge to ensure the beer complements their dishes perfectly. “While this beer doesn’t feature lobster (this time), we collaborated closely with Lord Hobo to craft a flavor profile that pairs seamlessly with our rolls,” said Jake Goldenshtein, Co-Founder of Lobster Proper. “The New England Chowder NEIPA is the ideal match with our menu, especially on those warm summer days.”

This beer combines a blend of carefully selected hops and oyster crackers, delivering a balanced taste with hoppy and tropical notes. The addition of lactose adds a smooth, creamy mouthfeel, making it an ideal summer beverage.
