Elder Piper Beer + Cider Celebrates Grand Opening in Petoskey, Michigan

PETOSKEY, MI — Elder Piper Beer + Cider kicked off their grand opening weekend on Friday, June 7 with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Petoskey Area Chamber of Commerce. After a decade working for some of the biggest breweries in the country, co-founders Trace and Eeva Redmond returned home to Michigan to open a small brewery and cidery of their own. 

“This grand opening is a huge milestone in our careers and a mark of our commitment to building a future with my hometown,” said Eeva Redmond, Elder Piper’s Co-Founder. “It’s the culmination of a decade of recipe development, three years of planning, one year of construction, and a ton of care and support from our community.”

Trace Redmond, Elder Piper’s Co-founder and Brewer said, “We make beers and ciders that are rooted in the context and the place where they are made.” He continued, “Over my brewing career, I have had the opportunity to brew a lot of different beers in a lot of different places. What unites all those beers is a fascination with fermentation. I’m excited to dig deeper and share my explorations through the beers and ciders of Elder Piper.”
