Video Coverage of Brew Talks LA Now Available

We’re pleased to announce that video playback from last week’s Brew Talks meetup, held at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, Calif., is now available for video playback.

More than 75 brewers, distributors and other industry professionals joined the event, which featured two unique discussions on the business of craft beer.

During the evening’s first conversation, Brian Mulvaney, the senior vice president of Bank of America’s beverage finance division, discussed investment strategies for craft brewers. In a second discussion, Golden Road co-founder, Meg Gill, and Paul Burgis, the brewery’s COO/CFO, explained the circumstances that led them to explore a sale to Anheuser-Busch InBev.

And thanks to the generosity of Brew Talks attendees as well as Beer Business Daily publisher, Harry Schumacher, who made a surprise donation of $1,000, Brew Talks LA raised $1,500 for Heal the Bay, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making Santa Monica Bay, Southern California watersheds and coastal waters safe and healthy for people and marine life.

Included below — and also available on the Brewbound YouTube Channel — are videos of both talks.

About Brew Talks:

Since hosting our first event in the basement of a craft beer bar in Boston in 2013, the meetup series has developed into a multi-city tour where beer industry professionals can come together inside of some of the country’s most recognizable craft breweries and share business insights with one another.

The Brew Talks program is designed to provide members of the beer community with an opportunity to come together and have in-depth discussions on the business of craft beer. The events are also broadcast globally via a free live stream.

Through its nine meetups in 2015, Brewbound connected with more than 1,000 beer industry professionals and raised $10,000 for local non-profit organizations.
